Developers in the town of Beloit may soon have the option of donating money instead of park land.

Town Administrator Tim Wellnitz says the town wanted to provide another option considering not all developments necessitate a new park.

Wellnitz says the money would be used for parkland in other areas throughout the township.

The town Board will hold a public hearing and discuss the change when they meet at 6:00 on Monday night.
