Milton’s common council unanimously approves a pair of development-minded measures Tuesday night.

The council granted a conditional-use permit to the developer in the Tower Hill subdivision to build duplexes on six of the site’s 30 lots.

Many of the duplex units are expected to have zero-step entries and be disability accessible.

Commissioners also OK’d a TIF agreement to allow projection screen and golf simulator manufacturer Carl’s Place to build a nearly 100,000-square-foot expansion to its facility on Putman Parkway.

Carl’s Place will receive annual TIF incentive payouts of $63,515 for 10 years so long as property tax payments of at least that much are made during the life of the agreement.

The council also set the schedule for the city’s 2025 budget process. Budget discussions are planned during every council meeting in October and November.
