The parent of one of the students who was secretly filmed in the locker room by former Craig High School coach Brian Kitzman has filed a Title IX lawsuit in federal court.

The suit, which was filed on November 13th names the School District of Janesville, Craig High School track and cross country coach Brandon Miles, Craig High School swim coach Jennifer Punzel, Craig High School athletics and activities director Benjamin McCormick, Craig High School principal Alison Bjoin, and Superintendent Mark Holzman.

The lawsuit accuses the district of deliberate indifference to unlawful surveillance.

Kitzman is a former track and field and girls swimming coach who admitted to taking naked videos of girls as young as 12 dating back to 2015.

Kitzman pleaded guilty last December to 19 charges, including of capturing an intimate representation of a victim less than 18 years old

In May, Judge Ashley Morse sentenced him to 19 years in prison, and 19 years of extended supervision; one year for each of his victims.
