The Rock County Medical Examiner is releasing the name of the 26-year-old Orfordville woman who was killed during a single-vehicle crash last Thursday in the town of Avon.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the crash shortly after 7:00 p.m. on April 10th at West Skinner and South Moriaty Roads.

The initial investigation determined that the vehicle had veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

The Medical Examiner’s Office says Madalyn Samonig was pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary results of the autopsy indicate that Samonig died from injuries sustained in the crash.

A man and three children were also injured in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation by the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
