Mercyhealth is now using AI technology to help treat atrial fibrillation.  Director of Mercyhealth Arrhythmia Center Dr. Imdad Ahmed says Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center–Janesville is the first hospital in the state to use Volta’s AI technology for atrial fibrillation procedures.  AF is a very common disease that is characterized as a type of irregular heartbeat that can cause palpitations, shortness of breath, or even heart failure and stroke.  With this technology, doctors can detect an abnormal heart rhythm much quicker.  Dr. Ahmed believes AI technology is going to be a useful tool in all of healthcare.
