Raise the Roof

Habitat for Humanity of Green County is building a new home at 420 18th Avenue in Monroe. We are celebrating the roof going up with “Raise the Roof” event at noon on April 1st. Green County Development Corporation and the student LAUNCH team are helping with the build and they are amazing! Early Spring Celebration With Frogs, Toads and Salamanders

Celebrate early spring with this child-friendly program that begins with a hands-on display of live amphibian eggs, tadpoles, frogs, toads and salamanders. As the sun begins to set, we’ll walk to a nearby pond to hear the evening calls of spring peepers, chorus frogs and toads. WILDFLOWER HIKE ON DEVIL’S STAIRCASE TRAIL

Meet at the far north parking lot picnic shelter of Janesville’s Riverside Park. On this hike, we’ll look for the blooms of Dutchman’s breeches, hepaticas, violets, spring beauty, wild ginger, anemones, and buttercup.
