With the State Department of Health Services advising schools against any large in-person gatherings this spring or fall, local districts are making plans to stream virtual graduations on the Internet. The Milton School District Monday night approved plans for June 7th. Traditional speeches will be pre-recorded and students will be allowed either to use a submitted picture with their diploma, or have a photographer snap a picture while they walk across the stage alone in an empty auditorium. High School Principal Jeremy Bilhorn still says it’ll still be the best day of the school year for these students.
