UW-Whitewater Chancellor Dwight Watson will return to his position on the campus Monday.
He was placed on leave back at the beginning of September after an unspecified complaint was filed against him.
The UW System says it thoroughly investigated of the undisclosed allegations against Watson and determined they were without merit.
“I am glad this thorough investigation has concluded and that the allegations made against Chancellor Watson were found to be without merit,” UW Board of Regents President Andrew Petersen said in a statement. “We look forward to the Chancellor’s return in leading UW-Whitewater on Monday.”
Interim Provost Greg Cook led the university in Watson’s absence as Whitewater navigated COVID-19 spikes on and off campus.
