Lake Geneva police arrest a Janesville man suspected in a stabbing.

Officers responded to the Walmart in Lake Geneva just before 3:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A female victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her neck area and was transported to a hospital for lifesaving surgery.

Police identified her acquaintance 29-year-old Marcos Garcia Jr. as the suspect and took him into custody later on Wednesday.

He had an active warrant for his arrest and was considered armed and dangerous.

Online court records show Garcia was previously convicted of burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal trespassing and multiple drug charges in at least four separate Rock County cases.
