The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announces the completion of a new roadway extension connecting Deerfield Drive and Morse street under the Interstate in Janesville.

I-39/90 Expansion Project Communications Manager Steven Theisen says completion of Ryan Road will help alleviate traffic congestion during the Highway 26/Milton Avenue and Highway 14/Humes Road construction in 2021 and 2022.

The Ryan Road extension includes new sidewalk and on-street bicycle lanes. Permanent traffic signals were also installed at the Ryan Road and Deerfield Drive intersection.
