Janesville’s long-time Operations Director is hit with one last major plow event before his retirement January 2nd.

John Whitcomb is asking citizens to have patience with plow operators as it takes a full 10 hours to clear all of the City streets after the snow stops falling.

Whitcomb reminds citizens clearing sidewalks and driveways that it’s against City ordinance to push snow back out into the street once it’s been plowed.

Whitcomb says salt-wise the City is in good shape with plenty in stock and more available from the state.

Assistant to the City Manager Maggie Darr replaces Whitcomb as Operations Director on January 3rd.
