A local School district is expressing disappointment in a lack of available COVID-19 vaccine for teachers. Milton Schools issued a statement claiming Mercyhealth assured the district all interested staff would be able to participate in a vaccination clinic Wednesday, but shut it down before all teachers had a chance to attend. Mercy officials say the clinic was closed early in accordance with updated Department of Health guidelines making teachers eligible for the vaccine beginning March 1st. Mercy adds vaccine is available and they will continue to administer immunization to groups previously prioritized starting with patients over 75-years old.
