The cause of a weekend fire in the Town of Beloit is under investigation. Firefighters were called to East Valley Road just before 4:00 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the arriving crews found the two-car attached garage fully involved with the flames spreading to the house. The neighborhood doesn’t have fire hydrants, so water had to be trucked in. This combined with frigid cold weather complicated the response, but officials say no one was hurt. The home is a total loss and damage is estimated around 200-thousand.
