The suspect in a Janesville shooting last summer will go on trial in October.

18-year-old Kenan Clemons pleaded not guilty Thursday to attempted first-degree intentional homicide and three other charges stemming from the June incident.

Clemons is accused of stealing a bicycle from a man’s garage and later shooting him and fleeing in his vehicle.

The victim told the court the ongoing prosecution has been hard on him and his family, and he wants to see it resolved as soon as possible.

Rock County Judge Karl Hanson said the trial will be the No. 1 case in his court, and the two sides will schedule jury dates for next October.
