A minor train derailment blocks Highway 140 in both directions.

According to a notification from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation the incident occurred just before 11:30 Thursday morning.

According to a spokesperson for the Union Pacific Railroad, five empty cars came off of the tracks but remained upright. Nobody was hurt.

Both northbound and southbound traffic on Highway 140 is being re-routed around the railroad tracks.

The Union Pacific expects the cars to be moved and the road reopened by late afternoon or early evening.
