Janesville’s City Manager appears to be staying put, for now.

Mark Freitag said last summer after applying for at least two jobs that he was seeking a new challenge and greater responsibility.

Freitag says while he currently isn’t scanning the help wanted section, he would be interested in applying for a job he would be passionate about.

Freitag says those passions include people, veterans, and the military, and he certainly enjoys his job in Janesville.

Last August Freitag applied for the position of the City Manager in Reno, Nevada, but ultimately didn’t get the job.
