Fans can now attend outdoor sports events at Beloit Memorial High School
The school board voted Tuesday to update their COVID-19 athletics plan to allow limited capacity for the remainder of matches this spring.
The updated plan also allows intermediate school students to participate in athletics after-school camps.
The board held a special meeting to make the change ahead of this weekend’s games, but it will also apply to the start of the spring baseball, softball, track, golf and soccer seasons.
The district had difficulty streaming the meeting live, but it posted a recording of the meeting on it’s YouTube channel Thursday.
Athletic Director Joe Beard said the WIAA asked Beloit to host the sectionals matches for soccer as well as the division-one sectional track meet and division-two regional track meet.
