A 19-year-old Janesville man is facing a charge of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety after a shots-fired incident on the city’s near west side. Janesville police say officers responded to a report of one shot being fired from a handgun in the 400 block of South Academy Street a little after 10:30 p.m. Monday. As officers surrounded the house, they thought they heard gunshot noises coming from what was believed to be a stereo speaker hooked up to a video game system. Police say Dylan Madonna answered the door while pointing a handgun at officers. Police stress how Madonna did immediately follow commands to drop the gun and was detained without any force. Officers say they found spent shell casings, ammunition, a second hand-gun and marijuana during a search of the house.
