Masks will be required for all staff and visitors in Rock County facilities regardless of vaccine status starting (Monday).
The Rock County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution August 12th re-instituting a face covering requirement for County effective August 16th.
The mask requirement follows the CDC’s updated guidance which suggests masks should be worn indoors, including by those who are vaccinated.
The police will remain in place until there have been two consecutive weeks where Rock County has been categorized as having “moderate” or “low” community transmission per the CDC’s data tracker, unless the Rock County Public Health Department no longer recommends that all individuals wear masks indoors.
According to a news release, visitors to County facilities who do not have a face covering will be provided with a disposable mask before they are allowed to proceed, and those who choose not to comply will be provided with alternative methods for receiving County services.
