A Janesville man will go to trial next week for a shooting from October of 2018.

25-year-old Dominick Verdina is charged with second-degree attempted homicide for shooting 34-year-old Anthony Hibbler following a dispute.

Verdina told police after the incident that the victim had harassed and threatened him in the past.

Assistant District Attorney Rich Sullivan said Verdina shot the victim from his vehicle and then got out of the car and walked over to him before continuing to shoot at him.

His jury trial is scheduled to begin next Monday morning. Verdina is out of custody after posting a 10-thousand-dollar cash bond.
