A portion of the path at Big Hill Park in Beloit will be under construction starting Friday and lasting about a week.

The portion of the path under construction is on the far northeast section of the park near the Rock River.

The path will be closed to pedestrian traffic while under construction.

The construction will include widening the path, and paving a 10 foot wide asphalt surface from the pedestrian bridge to the parking area. A fence will also be built along both sides of the path.
