The Janesville City Council unanimously approves an amendment to the tax incremental financing development agreement with MW Residence, the owner of The Glade on Myrtle Way.

Economic Development Director Gale Price says the four-building development was expected to be completed in phases with the final two buildings constructed in 2023 and 2024.

Price says moving the project timeline up is beneficial to the City as it will provide 86 additional housing units with there is still significant demand.

When the TIF agreement was first approved in July of 2019, the Glade at 701 Myrtle Way was the first new multifamily housing project in Janesville in 13 years.
