The Rock County Sheriff’s office is investigating a weekend stabbing.  Deputies were dispatched to a home on North Ellendale Road southwest of Newville about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.  A news release indicates two men age 36 and 37 got into an argument and the younger man was stabbed.  The victim is listed in stable but critical condition at a local hospital.  The Sheriff’s office says the situation was contained and no greater threat exists to the public.
