Local hospitals are welcoming their newest patients.

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville is reporting the first baby born in 2022 is Thaddeus Jeffery Robinson. He was born just before 1:30 on January first weighing six pounds, 15 ounces and measuring 18 inches long.

Thaddeus’ parents Stephanie and Jesse live in Beloit.

The first born at Beloit Health System in 2022 was Lia, baby girl born just before 9:00 a.m. on January first weighing in at eight pounds, 10 ounces and 20-and-a-half inches long.

Lia is the second child for parents Maria and Jesus.
