The number of new daily confirmed cases of COVID-19 is finally hitting a plateau in Rock County.

Rock County Public Health Department Epidemiologist Nick Zupan says as of Friday there were 5,732 active cases.

Zupan says a total of 297 people have died from COVID-19 in Rock County.

According to the Health Department’s COVID-19 dashboard, the average age of Rock County residents dying from COVID-19 is 72.7 years.

A total of 64 percent of Rock County residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series.
