A 25-year-old man is under arrest following a stabbing in Walworth County.

According to a news release, the Walworth County 911 Communication Center received a request for an ambulance at a residence on the 3100 block of West Barry Drive in the town of Lyons just after 6:30 Monday morning.

First responders found a 28-year-old man in the driveway suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso.

Walworth County Sheriff’s Deputies and Lake Geneva Police arrived and took the suspect, Andres Lopez Ruiz into custody on suspicion of recklessly endangering safety.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.

The Sheriff’s office says the stabbing was not a random act and there’s no danger to the community.
