Janesville’s crime rate remains low as police activity returns to pre-pandemic levels. Police Chief David Moore offered the latest statistics during a news conference Wednesday saying 2020 was an anomaly year. Moore thinks everybody will agree less police activity took place. Despite less police activity, Moore says the crime rate last year was the lowest in 40 years. He attributed the department’s success to community trust, respect and support.
