The City of Janesville is finding success in it’s newly created “Pay it Forward” grant program.

City Manager Mark Freitag says $2 million of the City’s allocation of American Rescue Plan Act funds were used to establish the program last month.

Freitag says there were a total of 55 applications totaling about $17.6 million.

Freitag says the average dollar amount for each request was about $320,000.
