ringhand-janis-legislative-3

No re-election plans for State Senator Janis Ringhand of Evansville.  The long-time elected official says she’s planning to retire after this term.  The 72-year-old calls it a matter of age, and another term would extend her retirement until age 77.  First being elected to the Assembly in 2010, Ringhand calls her experience in the legislature worthwhile.  Before being elected to the legislature, the Democrat was also mayor of Evansville, and a city council member.  She says she’s looking forward to spending more time with her family, including four great-grandchildren.
