The Beloit City Council recently hears the resolution to reserve up to $2 million in funds for the Rock County Matching Grant Program to alleviate homelessness. Finance Director Eric R. Miller says, HOME ARPA funds would be the first source of matching funds if they’re eligible as match. Miller says eligible City ARPA funds or TIF Housing Extension funds could also be potential sources of matching dollars. He says, the County Matching grant program will be administered through their newly created Homeless Coordinator position. The amended resolution for the City of Beloit City Council to approve setting aside at least $2 million in funds unanimously passed Monday night.
