The results for one of the races on Tuesday’s ballot need to be hand-counted.
In Rock County Board Supervisory District 11 incumbent Janelle Crary did not turn in enough signatures to make it onto the ballot, meaning there was only a spot for write-in candidates.
According to a news release from the Rock County Clerk’s Office, the City of Beloit hand-counted the ballots and Crary still managed to win the election with 30 votes. The other registered write-in candidate in the race, Ryan McDonough, received 25 votes.
The results are unofficial until the County Board of Canvassers meet to certify them on Monday.
