Rock County Sheriff’s Office staff and community members are recognized in a packed Jury Assembly Room during the 15th Annual Rock County Sheriff’s Office Awards Ceremony. Correctional Officer Dan Banks says Correctional Supervisor Erin Wilson started in 2004 as a Correctional Officer, and her ability to connect with those around her allowed her to excel as a corrections professional. Banks says Wilson is the epitome of leadership, an inspiration, and contributed a lot to everyone around her, making her the clear choice for the Retired Sheriffs Leadership Award. Deputy Sheriff Brandon Davis says his supervisors nominated him for actions he took throughout the year which they felt met requirements for the Deputy of the Year Award. Davis says he assisted in stopping homicide suspects, and did community oriented policing among other things during his time on patrol. The awards ceremony was 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
