A local tavern is helping pay for unexpected veterinarian bills with a new fundraiser benefiting the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.

Public Relations and Community Outreach Coordinator Faith Stephens says Yappy Hour will feature food and drink specials, a 50/50 raffle, and the opportunity to sign up to win a $500 Diamond Center gift certificate.

Stephens says Sophie’s Gift was started by Bazinga’s owner Brian Hughes, who has a huge heart for animals and helping both pets and the people who love them.

The event will take place on Sunday from 1:00 until 4:00 pm. at Bazinga Classic Pub & Grill.
