Two Beloit residents are facing charges after a high speed chase through Rock and Walworth counties. The Rock County Sheriff’s office reports the detective bureau and the city of Beloit’s Violent Crime Intervention Team were following leads into a number of recent commercial burglaries throughout the area. Officials say as a result, early Thursday morning, two suspects, considered armed and dangerous, were tracked to the village of Sharon in Walworth county. Police say pursuit with speeds up to 100 mph began just before 5:30 a.m. At one point authorities say the couple fled through a field and abandoned their vehicle to steal a truck from a local Walworth County landscape company. Deputies say the chase then led into Rock County where the suspect’s vehicle collided with a sheriff’s office vehicle near Bradford Townhall and O’Reilly Roads, with the pair then attempting to flee on foot. Authorities say 36-year-old Michael P. Dunaway and 32-year-old Denise N. Williams were captured and taken to the Rock County Jail pending charges from multiple jurisdictions.
