For the first time in history, the Milton High School baseball team is a state champion.

The Red Hawks jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to an 11-1 win over Bay Port in the Division One championship game Thursday afternoon in Grand Chute’s Fox Cities Stadium.

The Red Hawks’ entire lineup batted around in the first inning to build what turned out to be a margin the Pirates could not overcome.
