A Town of Beloit farmer is expressing thanks to a number of local fire departments.  Town of Beloit, City of Beloit, Orfordville, and Janesville firefighters all responded to the 5800 block of Finley Road about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.  Authorities say the first units to arrive found a goat shelter, chicken coup, stacked wood, and outside hay ablaze, but all the animals were safe.  Crews used a couple handlines to extinguish the fire.  The owner assisted fire crews utilizing a skid steer loader.  The official cause is yet to be determined.
