The City of Janesville held a community forum to discuss the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center project Tuesday night.
Public Works Director Mike Payne says they felt the former Sears building was a great location for the project because of the amount of businesses along the Milton corridor and that it is a good place to host weekend tournaments.
Payne says the community has recognized the need for an update at the facility and that for the most part the community has been supportive of the project, and that it offers more than just a single use ice facility.
Community members were able to ask questions and leave comments for city employees and designers about the project at (Tuesday’s) forum.
