Janesville’s ice arena only has about two to five years left depending on how much money is spent to help it limp along.
That was the opinion of Johnson Bank Southcentral Regional President Larry Squire during a webinar hosted by Forward Janesville on the Woodman’s Sports and Community Center Tuesday afternoon.
Squire says the City has estimated that it would cost between $12 and $15 million dollar to replace the existing one sheet facility.
The design team hopes to finish their work in February and put the project out for bid with a contract award in March or April of 2023.
