Residents of Janesville have mixed reviews on the Bird Scooter Program the city tried out from August through October.

One resident listed a number of issues they have had, including almost being hit by irresponsible users, a large amount of underage riders, and riders using the scooters and being loud late at night.

Another resident said they think the scooters are a great addition to the city, but more education for both user and general public may be needed on things like right of way, proper use, and disposing of the scooters.

The city council hopes to have Bird Scooter back in the early part of next year, where they’ll make a decision on how to proceed with the program.
