The City of Beloit Micro Business Grant Program opens up for applications Friday morning at 9:00.

Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation Regional Project Director Heather Lux says businesses need to have five or fewer employees, including the owner, and must be located in the city of Beloit to qualify for the grant.

Lux says there are ten $8,500 grants available and applications will be taken on a first come, first serve basis until the application window closes (Monday) at 5:00pm.

Lux says the grant money can be used for things like payroll, rent, utilities, inventory, and even marketing.
