The Red Kettle Campaign with the Salvation Army is approaching the home stretch, with just eight days left to donate or sign up to help.
Major Tom McDowell says they’re still looking for people to sign up for two hour shifts to ring bells at kettles across the county, and those interested can call the Salvation Army of Rock County’s website for more info.
McDowell says this year they’ve raised more than 67,000 dollars, which is a roughly 7,000 increase from last year, but still behind what they would raise pre-pandemic.
McDowell says the year before COVID, the Red Kettle Campaign was able to raise more than 100,000 dollars.
