The application period for the City of Janesville’s open City Manager position is officially closed.

Interim City Manager and Police Chief David Moore says over 20 applications were received.

Moore says consultant Government Professional Solutions, and City Human Resources Director Tara Semenchuk will vet the applications.

Moore says a closed session is planned for January where the City Council will select their finalists.

Former City Manager Mark Freitag left the City in October to take the City Manager position in Westminster, Colorado.
