The Eager Free Public Library in Evansville has announced they’ve received a grant from the Evansville Funds Fall Grant Cycle.

Assistant Director and Head of Youth Services Rebecca Van Dam says the money will go towards their Playaway Collection audiobook project and will allow them to purchase more playaways for the libraries younger patrons.

Van Dam says the playaways are a great resource because audiobooks on CDs are becoming more rare, so having a source that doesn’t require downloads or an internet connection can make the audiobooks much more accessible.

The grant money totaled $1500 to go towards the project.
