Grinnell Hall Senior Center in Beloit is inviting veteran and their families to an informational seminar this weekend.

Rock County Disabled American Veterans Commander Jake Richter says the seminar takes place at 9:00 Saturday morning and will last until 10:00am, with claims assistance to follow until noon.

Richter says many veterans may not be aware of the benefits at their disposal, so he heavily encourages veterans to attend, especially with the recent passing of the PACT Act.

Richter says veterans will also learn about some of the other services provided such as covering the cost of burials.

No registration is needed for Saturday’s seminar, and family members of veterans are encouraged to attend.
