Janesville voters will have a chance to learn more about their city council and school board candidates during a special forum sponsored by the Rock County Civics academy.

The forum begins at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Italian House in Janesville.

The forum will start with two of the three candidates running for three open seats on the Janesville School District Board of Education.

Incumbents Karl Dommershausen and Kevin Murray will answer questions about why they are best qualified to be re-elected to the board.

Then at 7:00 p.m., the five candidates running for four open seats on the Janesville City Council will take the floor.

They include incumbents Dave Marshick, Heather Miller and Michael Jackson, along with challengers Richard Neeno and Spencer Zimmerman.

Audience members will be allowed to submit questions.
