The Blackhawk Curling Club’s renegotiated lease with Rock County for use of the Blackhawk Building on the Rock County Fairgrounds now includes $3000 a year in rent.
It’s far less than the $50,000 to $60,000 District 14 Supervisor Mike Zoril was hoping for.
Zoril says the County gets $40,000 a year in rent for the nearby Craig Center, even without charging non-profits.
Zoril says the Blackhawk Curling Club would have more money to pay rent if they weren’t spending so much money on interior and maintenance and upgrades without getting County approval.
