DEFY Domestic Abuse Beloit has added a new Rapid Rehousing Program, which provides a variety of services to survivors in the Rock and Walworth county communities.

Director of Survivor Empowerment Services Kelsey Hood Christianson says the program will offer advocacy services, longer term rental assistance, and other direct services to those transitions from emergency shelters to more stable housing.

Hood Christianson says it can be very difficult for people to find housing and help during this type of transition, so this program will be crucial in helping people especially at a time when it is difficult to find housing.

The services provided through this program are grant funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
