Administration with the Beloit School District is recommending the district reconfigure for the 2023-2024 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Willie Garrison says the administration is recommending the district reconfigure to a structure where K4 through 5th grade will be elementary, 6th through 8th grade is middle school, and 9th through 12th being high school.
Garrison says it was easy to come to the decision to reconfigure after results came in from a survey that found nearly half of district respondents were upset with the way the district was constructed.
Garrison says the district has seen a steady decline in enrollment since a reconfiguration in 2012.
