The City of Evansville is getting ahead of a predicted winter storm Wednesday by declaring a snow emergency.

No parking will be permitted on Evansville streets from noon Wednesday until noon Thursday.

According to a news release, the National Weather Service is predicting a significant snow fall, ice or drifting over the course of this time.

Vehicles found to be parked on city streets during the snow emergency could be subject to a ticket or tow.
