Beloit’s Parks and Rec Department is asking for community input on how to spend ARPA funds for parks improvements.

Parks and Rec Director Matt Amundson says they’ll be hosting another session Monday evening starting at 6:30 at Merrill Elementary School and asks the community bring ideas that maybe they haven’t already thought of.

Amundson says completing the Big Hill Park Peace Trail Connection, improvements to Edwards Ice Arena, and splash pads and playgrounds have been three of the most popular suggestions from the public.

The city has appropriated $2.55 million towards park improvement projects.
